Scientific Advisory Board

The main mission of the Scientific Council is to support the technical operation of the PROCORAD association.

Its main functions are:

  • Advise on the scientific content of technical presentations at the annual meeting.
  • Participate in the proofreading of articles and documents published under the auspices of PROCORAD.
  • Help steer PROCORAD’s work in line with developments in radiochemical techniques and their detection limits, and with changes in legislation on radiation protection for personnel exposed to ionizing radiation.
  • The Scientific Advisory Board proposes workshop themes for annual meetings to the Board for validation, and then leads them, specifying their objectives and facilitating discussions around the chosen themes.

Its role is strictly consultative. The guidelines adopted by the Scientific Advisory Board, which are binding with regard to the association’s objectives, are submitted to Procorad’s Board of Directors for approval. Members are appointed after approval by the Board of Directors. Their work is entirely voluntary.
