Scientific Council

The Scientific Council provides the Association with scientific and technical support.

Its principal missions are

  • Express an opinion regarding the scientific content of the technical presentations that take place at the annual meeting.
  • Reread the articles and documents to be published under PROCORAD's name before publication.
  •  Provide guidance and advice to PROCORAD in its work, taking into account both the development of radiochemical techniques and their detection limits and legal developments relating to the radioprotection of personnel exposed to ionising radiation.
  • The Scientific Council proposes themes for the workshops that are held at the annual meetings. The Committee au Bureau confirms the choice of themes. The Scientific Council is responsible for defining the objectives of the workshop and for facilitating the actual discussions.

The Scientific Council's role is strictly advisory. Its members, whose activity is entirely voluntary, are appointed after approval by the Administrative Council.
